Samadai or Sataya: Which Dolphin Reef in Marsa Alam?

Samadai is 90 minutes by boat and you are back at the hotel mid-afternoon. Sataya is three hours each way with a pickup before dawn, and its pod is about twice the size. They are wild dolphins, so neither trip can promise you will see them.

Yes, spinner dolphins. They feed in open water at night and rest in sheltered lagoons by day, which is why both trips go in the morning. The dolphins at Dolphin House near Hurghada are a different species, the bottlenose.
Are dolphins, turtles, or dugongs guaranteed?
Wildlife sightings are possible in known areas, but nature is never guaranteed.
