Dahab este la 90 de minute de mers cu mașina nord de Sharm, drumul urmează coasta Golfului Aqaba. Blue Hole este o galerie submarină de 130 de metri adâncime la câțiva metri de țărm, snorkelerii rămân pe margine și privesc în abis. Prânzul este în Assalah, un sat beduin cu perne joase și pește la grătar. După-amiaza este timp liber în orașul vechi Dahab.

Blue Hole e sigur pentru snorkeleri?
Da, snorkelerii rămân pe marginea puțin adâncă, dinspre țărm, unde apa are doi-patru metri. Cei 130 de metri sunt ce privești în jos, nu unde intri. Accidentele mortale de la Blue Hole sunt toate scufundători tehnici care încearcă arcada în adâncime, irelevant pentru snorkeling la suprafață.
Cât de adâncă e apa sub mine?
Pe margine, doi-patru metri. Câteva mișcări de labe de la margine, fundul cade la 130 de metri. Schimbarea de culoare e partea faimoasă, apă turcoaz pe o parte, un cerc albastru închis pe cealaltă. Plutești exact peste muchie.
Există curent la Blue Hole?
Curent de suprafață ușor în majoritatea zilelor, golful e protejat de vânturile de nord. Căpitanul îți arată reciful de ieșire înainte să înoți, deci chiar dacă derivezi puțin, drumul înapoi e clar. Vestele sunt obligatorii pentru cei nesiguri pe înot.
Cât durează drumul cu autocarul din Sharm?
Pe sens 90 de minute cu un autocar climatizat confortabil. Drumul urmează coasta Golfului Aqaba, unul dintre cele mai pitorești drumuri din Sinai. Împărțim apă și gustări, poți dormi tot drumul dacă vrei.
